Alex leads the growth and operation of the Zero Energy/Emissions Buildings (ZEB) Learning Centre at BCIT.
With a team of over 40 industry expert instructors, the ZEB Learning Centre supports the construction industry’s transition to the BC Energy Step Code, the Zero Carbon Step Code, the City of Vancouver’s Zero Emissions Building bylaws, and CleanBC’s climate strategy.
Trained as a mechanical engineer in Quebec, Alex has a professional background in managing energy and emissions for both existing buildings and new construction projects. He holds an MBA in Sustainability and Business from UBC and had the privilege of studying as an exchange student at Tsinghua University in Beijing.
Alex is actively involved in various committees and working groups across Canada, providing academic leadership and industry expertise on workforce development for net-zero building practices.
