Rowan (she/her) is the Executive Director of CityHive, an organization on a mission to transform how young people are engaged in shaping their cities and communities. Rowan is a seasoned facilitator, educator, and expert working at the intersections of democracy, sustainability, and youth engagement. She has worked with partners like Translink, BC Hydro, and the City of Vancouver to engage youth on policy and planning projects. Rowan also serves on Environment and Climate Change Canada’s Youth Council and previously co-chaired IAP2 Canada’s Young Professionals Community of Practice. Her work centres the role of young people in strengthening democratic processes and driving systems change.
